Avison Way is a short road that cuts across Stanley Park south to north. It is mainly used to get to the Vancouver Aquarium. To get onto Avison Way turn left off of Stanley Park Drive just after the Stanley Park Information Booth OR turn left off of Stanley Park Drive before Lumbermen's Arch.
Avison Way is named after Henry Avison who was Vancouver's first Park Superintendent. He is known for starting the Stanley Park Zoo when he captured a baby black bear in 1888. He also cut the first trails, designed the first gardens, and lived in Stanley Park. He served from 1888 - 1895.
This road passes by the Vancouver Aquarium and the Brockton Oval Parking Lots.
